A mortal pilot working aboard a waste reprocessing vessel who has one goal, to become a servant of The Grand Council of Immortals who rule Ameretat, his home world. He knows that by doing this he will secure for himself and his family an extended lifespan becoming half-mortal and a lifestyle that is unavailable to common mortals.

The Grand Council of Immortals have automated everything from food production to transportation and established a form of technological supervision over the mortal population 70,000 sols ago, creating an environment where mortals have no reason to learn survival skills. Therefore few mortals are able to actually survive in the wild.

Born into a poor farming family,  Avram learned crucial survival skills that other mortals are naive to. These skills along with Avram's love for his family made him the perfect candidate to carry out a secret plan to overthrow The Council.
